These cells offer models for the study of the biology of pancreatic islet cells, specifically the mechanisms controlling the synthesis, storage and secretion of insulin and somatostatin.

傳(chuan)代方法：
收到細胞(bao)后，取出培養瓶(ping)在倒置顯微(wei)鏡下觀察細胞(bao)生長情況。
（一）如果細(xi)(xi)胞未長滿，用(yong)75%酒精(jing)噴灑整個瓶消毒(du)后(hou)放到超菌臺內，嚴(yan)格無(wu)菌操作(zuo)，打(da)開(kai)細(xi)(xi)胞培(pei)(pei)養瓶，吸出培(pei)(pei)養液，僅留下10ml培(pei)(pei)養液在(zai)瓶內繼(ji)續(xu)培(pei)(pei)養。
(二(er))如果(guo)細胞已長(chang)滿，即可(ke)進行傳代培養。具體(ti)步(bu)驟如下：
1. 棄去培養(yang)液，用(yong)PBS（不(bu)含鈣，鎂(mei)離子）洗(xi)1-2次。
2. 加1ml消化(hua)液（0.25%Trypsin-0.53mM EDTA）于培(pei)養(yang)瓶(ping)中，倒轉放于37度(du)培(pei)養(yang)箱1-3分(fen)鐘預熱，然后又將培(pei)養(yang)瓶(ping)倒轉大(da)約30秒后，在倒置(zhi)顯微鏡(jing)下(xia)觀察細(xi)胞(bao)消化(hua)情況，若(ruo)細(xi)胞(bao)大(da)部分(fen)變(bian)圓分(fen)散，輕敲幾下(xia)培(pei)養(yang)培(pei)養(yang)瓶(ping)，細(xi)胞(bao)隨即(ji)脫落下(xia)來。
3. 加(jia)入6-8ml*培(pei)養基，吸(xi)出，分到新的培(pei)養瓶(ping)中。1:3~1:6傳代；2~3天1次。

注(zhu)意：傳代后(hou)一半用我們(men)(men)的(de)培養基(ji)，一半用你(ni)們(men)(men)的(de)，以免細(xi)胞不適應而造
成生長(chang)不好。
